On September 22, we launched the new edition of the Eix Besòs Circular project. This initiative represents the continuation of another project with the same name that was developed between 2018 and 2019 in the municipalities of Sant Adrià de Besós and Badalona. On this occasion, the project commissioned by the BCIN (Reactivació Badalona) also extends to companies in the municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
The mission of the project is to promote industrial symbiosis within the business network of the three municipalities, strengthening the opportunities that were defined in 2018. Some of these actions have already begun, such as in the area of collecting specific waste, energy, and we will also work to try to relaunch those that did not develop. All of this will be worked on through interviews and visits, with which we also hope to identify other new opportunities that adapt to the current needs of the companies in the municipalities involved. In total, five synergies are expected to be worked on in the project for one year, ending in October 2024.
