Project description

This project consisted of developing a guide for the management of end-of-life mattresses in Catalonia. A detailed analysis of the state of the art in the management of this waste was carried out, identifying the key stakeholders and their roles in the process.

The guide explores the possibilities of improving mattress design to optimize their management at the end of their useful life, as well as options for regulating and monitoring the waste circuit. Different final destinations are considered, including landfills, incinerators, recovery, and recycling.
