Innovation from the Territory

Berguedà Circular represents a milestone in Catalonia: it is the first initiative developed at the regional level in a purely rural and mountainous territory.

The project started with an in-depth analysis of the local agricultural and livestock sector. The objective was clear: to detect real opportunities to promote the circular economy by transforming the surplus resources from livestock farms and from other generators of organic matter into new valuable assets for the region.
