BioBoost – Bioeconomy Project Accelerator
European program aimed at accelerating the development and implementation of bioeconomy projects in Catalonia, facilitating their technical, economic, and legal maturation, and reducing barriers to market entry through comprehensive support.
Objective
BioBoost is a project accelerator funded by the Horizon Europe program whose objective is to promote the bioeconomy as a vector of sustainable economic development, supporting small and medium-sized projects linked to biological resources and processes.
The program is aimed at both primary production sectors and industrial and economic sectors that use biological resources for the production of food, feed, bio-based products, energy, and services. BioBoost acts as an investment catalyst, with the goal of mobilizing up to 30 million euros in bioeconomy projects in the territory.
The project offers comprehensive support that combines technical, business, financial, legal, and territorial facilitation services, adapted to the maturity level of each initiative. All of this is articulated through a multidisciplinary consortium that provides specialized knowledge and the ability to connect with the business and institutional ecosystem.
