On April 5th, approximately 30 representatives from entities and city councils in the Barcelona metropolitan area, involved in circular economy projects, industrial symbiosis, material recycling, and the commercialization of metropolitan agro-forestry products, gathered for a meeting.
A review of existing best practices in circular economy was conducted, and the opportunities of 3 specific proposals that open new opportunities for the AMB were discussed: Metropolitan program of industrial symbiosis, agro-urban synergies in the agricultural park, and promotion of waste transformation into resources.
On May 15th, newspapers such as La Vanguardia, El Periódico and ARA echoed the project that the company Símbiosy is developing in the AMB to promote the circular economy in Barcelona.
