The FILM KM0 project, subsidized by the Catalan Waste Agency, aims to analyze the potential and feasibility of the valorization of residual plastic film through collaboration between the different agents in the value chain.
This project, led by the Guild of Recovery of Catalonia, also seeks to strengthen and update the role of the recovery company within the “circular” business models: it is necessary to move from the classic company that manages waste to one that provides secondary materials to the market.
For this to happen, the interests between industries with surplus resources, managers, and companies that consume materials must be aligned.
On March 21, the presentation of the main conclusions of the project was held with the participation of companies developing cutting-edge technologies through which different business models were visualized that promote the circular economy in the valorization of plastic film, and with which reflections, ideas, and future projects were exchanged.
