On Tuesday, July 3rd, the study “Citizens and the Circular Economy: Current Situation and Future Perspectives,” prepared by CREAFUTUR with the support of ESADE, was presented.

The analysis, which was advised by the Símbiosy team, has the dual objective of analyzing the behaviors, attitudes, and perceptions of citizens in relation to sustainability and the adoption of circular economy practices (such as reuse, repair, or recycling), and identifying good practices in the local and international sphere aimed at accelerating the transition towards the circular economy.
The analysis includes 2,534 interviews with citizens, a compilation of exemplary private initiatives in the implementation of circular business models, interviews with experts from different fields in the area of circular economy and sustainability, and a reference trip to Scotland to interview public institutions and companies that are leading the transition towards the circular economy.
